Elizabeth Mauldin

Elizabeth Mauldin

Policy Director In Memoriam

As policy director, Elizabeth led CDM’s work to strengthen migrant worker rights through advocacy at the federal, state, and international levels. Before coming to CDM in 2012, Elizabeth monitored and investigated the conditions of tomato farmworkers throughout Florida at the Fair Food Standards Council. Prior to working with farmworkers, Elizabeth was a policy attorney at the National Immigration Law Center where she advocated for immigrant access to legal status and challenged federal immigration enforcement policies. She held a JD from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) and was licensed to practice law in California.

Elizabeth passed away on March 27, 2019 after a brave, six-month battle with cancer. She left a powerful legacy, impacting the lives of hundreds of thousands of migrant workers.
